Day 2 Christ’s love for His Bride

You may have a wonderful person to love. You may not have a wonderful person to love, but if you have accepted Christ, you are His Bride and you are loved by the only perfect man who ever walked our planet.

When God first led me to see myself as a bride of Christ, it was after several years of rejection by people. At the time when I felt most alone, I felt led one morning to meditate on being accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6) and being the Bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25 - Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her).

I felt led to look for a wedding dress. I found one and it was beautiful. As I meditated, I had a vision where I was with Christ in His throne room and immediately had the feeling that Isaiah expressed in Isaiah 1:6 – woe to me for I’m ruined, I’m a person of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.” I felt I was extremely unworthy of His love and acceptance. And yet at the same time, I knew I had His complete love and acceptance.

and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you. Isaiah 62:5

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me is love. Song of Solomon 2:4

You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way. Song of Solomon 4:7

Day 2 Challenge: Our goal for today’s challenge is stated in Ephesians 3:18-19 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Find a picture of a bride. In your mind, become the Bride of Christ. Feel your love for Him and experience His love for you!  And we have a free set of affirmation cards with verses that tell us of God's love for us. See the button below.
